How to Download High-Resolution Instagram Profile Pictures
Instagram profile pictures are tiny. Here is how to view and download them in their original high resolution.
How to Download High-Resolution Instagram Profile Pictures
When you view a profile on the Instagram app, the profile picture (avatar) is displayed as a tiny circle. You can't click on it to enlarge it, and you certainly can't save it natively. If you need to see the full, high-resolution version of a profile picture, you need an external tool.
Why Download Profile Pictures?
- Verification: You want to clearly see the face of someone who requested to follow you to ensure they aren't a bot or scammer.
- Inspiration: You are a designer looking for logo inspiration from brand accounts.
Using CoraClip
While CoraClip is primarily famous for downloading Reels and Stories, our engine is capable of extracting any public media asset from Instagram's servers, including profile pictures.
How to do it:
- Open the Instagram app and navigate to the target user's profile.
- Tap the three dots in the top right corner and select Copy Profile URL.
- Go to CoraClip and paste the URL.
- Our servers will fetch the original, uncropped, high-resolution JPG file that the user originally uploaded.
- You can view it in your browser or click download to save it.
Note: Even if an account is set to Private, their profile picture is always public, meaning this trick works for all accounts.
